On my gaming troubles... and more

My brother's friend is on vacation from whatever it was he was doing, so now Greg plays World of Warcraft with him almost all the time instead of playing with me. Never mind the fact that I'm not as often available to play as his friend is, so to be fair, he should be playing with me on those rare moments when we're both available and just play with his friend at all the other times instead. So it's been over a week now since I played WoW, which caused withdrawal and boredom at first, but now I'm starting to forget the game a bit. Oh well. On the plus side... more resting experience.

On the first day of my WoW withdrawal, I spent about five hours reading and thus finished Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. All I really want to say about that book is that I'm so glad it wasn't annoyingly angst-filled as I feared it would be. And now, to kill the time, I've been playing Kingdom Hearts again, which I only stopped playing because I was playing WoW and then sort of just forgot about it. Unfortunately, KH is annoying me slightly because I'm insisting on beating Sephiroth before finishing the game, but he keeps kicking my ass. It's only because of his "Sin Harvest" attack, which reduces me to 1 HP and 0 MP. I've only survived it twice in all the times I've tried fighting him, only to be taken down by it when he casts it again. What makes it even more annoying is that I'm level 77 right now, but even if I were level 99, it wouldn't make much difference since the attack would take me down all the same. So I might just give up eventually. Anyway, don't mind my ramblings.

My parents are leaving for Las Vegas tomorrow and coming back on Thursday. This is their fourth time going there... they really love the place. I have to work until close on both Saturday AND Sunday this week. On Sunday it won't be so bad, because it's a weeknight and we close around 11, but with my luck, I'll be stuck at work until 1 or later on Saturday. One of these days, I'd like to get a shift that doesn't include opening or closing... like 2 to 10. I've only had that shift once, and I'd really like them to schedule me like that again, because that doesn't involve me waking up early or working really late. It does take up most of the day, though, which is the only downside. But it's not like I do anything all day, anyway.

I still wanna play Kingdom Hearts one of these days... I've heard it's quite good.

It's a fun game. It's kind of frustrating in the beginning... it takes far too long until you get a cure spell, and healing with items is a pain. But as you gain levels and abilities, the game actually gets progressively easier. Now that I have the Ultima Weapon and can kill most enemies in two attacks, it's quite fun. ;)

If I'm lucky enough to persuade my parents to let me take the PS2 to Case, you'll have your chance to play. :)
